Instructions for the disposal of batteries and electrical appliances


1. Information on the Battery Act (BattG)
In connection with the sale of batteries or the supply of equipment,

Since the batteries are included, we are obliged to inform you of the following:

As an end user, you are legally obligated to return used batteries. You can return used batteries, which we currently or previously offered as new batteries, free of charge to our location.

The crossed-out trash can symbol means that the battery must not be disposed of with household waste. The chemical symbols below the symbols have the following meanings:

Pb: Battery contains more than 0.004% lead by mass

Cd: Battery contains more than 0.002% cadmium by mass

Hg: Battery contains more than 0.0005% mercury by mass

 

2. Information on the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG)


Electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of with household waste. As the owner of old equipment, you are legally obligated to dispose of it separately from unsorted municipal waste.

Separation of waste batteries: Waste batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed in the waste device must be separated from it before being handed over to a collection point.

Personal responsibility for data: Please note that you are responsible for deleting personal data on the old devices to be disposed of.

(e.g., saved phonebook entries or navigation data in radio devices).

Meaning of the symbol: The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin on electrical and electronic equipment indicates that these must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste at the end of their service life.
